The past quarter has been bustling with activity at Canberra BMW Motorrad. From the exciting launch of two new bikes - the BMW R 1300 GS and the BMW F 900 GS, to our participation in the Canberra Festival of Speed, it's been a whirlwind of things happening. In February we launched the all-new BMW R 1300 GS. The event offered a unique experience for our clientele while showcasing the latest addition to the BMW Motorrad lineup. The evening unfolded with a product presentation, led by our Sales Manager, Mick Andrews. Attendees were informed about the features and capabilities of the BMW R 1300 GS. Following the product presentation, guests were treated to dinner catered by Psychedeli. The evening continued with an open bar, allowing attendees to unwind and socialize in a relaxed atmosphere.
On March 2nd and 3rd, Canberra BMW Motorrad showcased the BMW M 1000 R and BMW M 1000 RR motorcycles at the Festival of Speed. Superbike Champion Glenn Allerton added to the excitement with his own race bike. Despite the heat, complimentary water bottle refills and QR code scans for prizes kept attendees engaged. Positioned prominently at the main entrance, the display attracted all 14,000 festival-goers. You can read more about the event here.
On March 21st, we unveiled the BMW F 900 GS with a premium launch event at the dealership, drawing in 70 of our VIPs. The evening was catered by The Lazy Grazer, plus and an open bar. Sales Manager Mick Andrews and Sales Consultant Liam Skeels presented on the new product, followed by a Q&A session MC'd by Marketing Manager Izi Tanewski, where we addressed all our customers' enquiries about the bike. The event received many compliments and was enjoyed by all attendees.
On March 24th, we treated our BMW R 18 customers to a road ride led by Sales Manager Mick Andrews. Beginning at the dealership, our journey wound its way up to Charlottes Pass. Despite the chilly weather, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Canberra BMW Motorrad provided lunch at the Stillwell Hotel before the return journey to Canberra.
In alignment with the Festival of Speed, we hosted a competition offering participants the chance to win a BMW motorbike for a weekend getaway along with a voucher for drinks for two at Hippo & Co. Joshua was drawn as the lucky winner, opting for the BMW C 400 GT due to his provisional license, which allowed him to enjoy the ride over the weekend.
