With BMW Service Inclusive, you can enjoy riding pleasure to the full extent. You don’t have to waste a moment thinking about the cost of maintenance, scheduled servicing or inspection. You make a one-off payment and then, depending on the package/contract selected, you are entitled to service and maintenance work for the duration and kilometres selected.

BMW Service Inclusive only applies if the vehicle has been driven appropriately (1 set per package) and maintenance work has been carried out at the intervals indicated by the vehicle and in accordance with the specifications of the manufacturer.

Which models are eligible for BMW Service Inclusive?

BMW Service Inclusive is available for all models – Up to 10 years old.

When does the period of validity for BMW Service Inclusive begin?

The period of validity begins on the date on which the vehicle is first registered (start of warranty).

When does the period of validity for BMW Service Inclusive end?

Entitlement to BMW Service Inclusive ends as soon as one of the two limits (distance driven in kilometres or duration of contract in years) has been reached. If the vehicle is sold before either of these limits has been reached, entitlement is transferred to the new.

If the vehicle is sold, is the entitlement to BMW Service Inclusive transferred to the new owner?

Yes, the package is directly bound to the vehicle and can therefore be used by the new owner for the remaining term of the package.

Can the benefits of BMW Service Inclusive be claimed at a different dealer to the original dealer?

Yes, BMW Service Inclusive is valid at all participating BMW Dealerships in Australia. 

When can Service Inclusive & Oil Inclusive be purchased?

Service Inclusive packages can be purchased up to 10 years or 100,000 kilometres after the original retail date.

Service Inclusive packages are also available for used motorcycles with a maximum age of 10 years from the original date of sale.

1. Defined terms and interpretation 

1.1 In this document: 

Australian Consumer Law means the Australian Consumer Law set out in Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) as amended from time to time. 

BMW means BMW Australia Ltd ABN 11 004 675 129 which trades as BMW Motorrad. 

BMW Motorrad Oil Inclusive package means the services outlined in clause 2.6 and further described in package selection inclusions to these terms and conditions. 

BMW Motorrad Service Inclusive package or BSI means the services outlined in clause 2.7 and further described in package selection inclusions to these terms and conditions. 

Commencement Date means the later of (i) the date of sale and purchase of the relevant Package; or (ii) the Motorcycle’s first registration. 

Customer means the owner of the Motorcycle. 

Ineligible Unit means a motorcycle that is (i) of a model or line which is excluded from the BMW Motorrad Service Inclusive Package programme (as determined by BMW in its discretion); (ii) is more than 10 years old at the date of purchase when measured from the later of the Motorcycle’s date of first registration or first retail; or (iii) does not have a complete service history showing all services performed by BMW Motorrad Services Authorised Workshops and BMW Approved Technicians.

Motorcycle means a BMW Motorrad branded motorcycle other than an Ineligible Unit, that was originally distributed by BMW and is entitled to the services under the relevant Package.

Service Inclusive Package or Package means a BMW Motorrad Oil Inclusive or BMW Motorrad Service Inclusive package.

Validity Period means the Commencement Date until the relevant Package’s specified time period or distance has elapsed, whichever occurs first. 

 

1A. Your Statutory Rights and Remedies 

These terms and conditions are subject to any statutory rights and remedies that are available to you, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Those statutory rights and remedies may be pursued in addition to those conferred under these terms and conditions. 

 

2. What is included in your purchase of BMW Service Inclusive?

2.1 BMW agrees to provide the Customer with the applicable Service Inclusive Package in respect of the Motorcycle, and as further described in the record of sale and purchase. 

2.2 The Service Inclusive Package is limited to apply to the Motorcyle chassis number against which the Package was purchased as identified by BMW’s internal records and the record of sale and purchase. 

2.3 A Service Inclusive Package is transferable to a third party upon the sale of the Motorcycle to that third party but is not transferrable to another motorcycle or motor vehicle.

2.4 Upon the purchase of a Service Inclusive Package, and subject to these terms and conditions, BMW will supply the services outlined within these terms and conditions for the benefit of the Customer and the Motorcycle. 

2.5 BMW’s obligations under these terms and conditions apply for the duration of the Validity Period.

2.6 The Customer’s entitlements under the BMW Motorrad Oil Inclusive package includes an engine oil and oil filter change.

2.7 The Customer’s entitlements under a BMW Motorrad Service Inclusive package includes (i) the rights granted in a BMW Motorrad Oil Inclusive package; (ii) a BMW running in check (for new Motorcycles or those which are yet to receive one); (iii) vehicle checks in accordance with BMW specifications; (iv) the right to arrange for an authorised BMW Dealer to carry out, during ordinary business hours, scheduled service work on the Motorcycle which may include oil and filter changes and brake fluid changes in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines; and (v) additional model-specific maintenance work as recommended by the manufacturer. The included services are generally described in “Packages Overview”. 

2.8 Service Inclusive Packages include the costs of required parts, consumables, oil and labour. 

 

3. What are the package exclusions? 

3.1 BMW Service Inclusive does not include: (a) repairs resulting from normal wear and tear to the Motorcycle; (b) replacement of tyres; (c) repairs necessary due to damage including to glass, panels, paint work, and due to rust or corrosion; (d) restoration, or special preparation for restoration, after long-term storage; (e) repairs by persons other than a BMW Motorrad Services Authorised Workshop that employs BMW Approved Technicians; (f) effecting or repairing alterations or modifications to the Motorcycle; (g) work necessary due to negligence, accidental or intentional damage or abuse, fire, flood, Acts of God, war, acts of terrorism or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of BMW or due to misfuelling, water entry, misuse or exceeding any of the manufacturer’s specified maximum speeds, revolutions or load capacities; (h) repairs necessary as a result of failing to service the Motorcycle in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations; (i) Motorcycle recovery, towing or other related travel costs (this may be covered by an applicable roadside assistance programme); (j) work involved in daily or other regular checks to the Motorcycle; (k) service or maintenance of non-genuine BMW parts or accessories; and (l) service or maintenance work conducted outside Australia 

 

4. What are the Customer’s responsibilities? 

4.1 Services must be performed by a BMW Motorrad Services Authorised Workshop. The Customer must present the Motorcycle a BMW Motorrad Services Authorised Workshop to perform the services under these terms and conditions only during ordinary business hours by prior arrangement with the workshop.

4.2 The Customer must use reasonable endeavours to maintain the Motorcycle in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications regarding servicing and time intervals. If the Customer misses any scheduled service, additional work may be identified and any costs will not be covered by the BMW Motorrad Service Inclusive package. 

4.3 The Customer must use reasonable endeavours to minimise any Motorcycle damage including in the event of defect or failure. 

4.4 The Customer must maintain, operate and use the Motorcycle in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and within the specified operating limitations. 

4.5 BMW’s obligations under these terms and conditions are conditional upon the maintenance by the Customer of an accurate record of the distance travelled by the Motorcycle and production of such record to BMW when required. Additional labour, items and servicing may be required in the service of the Motorcycle and these costs will not be covered by the Service Inclusive Package. 

4.6 The Customer must ensure that the Motorcycle’s odometer and other operating systems are not tampered with or otherwise interfered with so that they no longer operate in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.

4.7 Despite any other clause in these terms and conditions, if BMW or a BMW Motorrad Services Authorised Workshop reasonably determines that a Motorcycle’s odometer or other operating system has been tampered or otherwise interfered with such that it no longer operates in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, the Customer will no longer be entitled to receive the benefits of the relevant Service Inclusive Package and the Validity Period will be deemed to have ended and the Customer will not be entitled to any compensation or refund. 

 

5. General information 

5.1 Any BMW Motorrad Oil Inclusive or BMW Motorrad Service Inclusive package purchased in respect of a Motorcycle applies in addition to any statutory rights or remedies that the Customer may have, including under the Australian Consumer Law. These terms and conditions do not exclude, restrict, limit or modify those rights or remedies. Any rights and benefits which the Customer enjoys in terms of the new Motorcycle warranty conditions will not be affected by these terms and conditions or the purchase of a Package. 

5.2 Except as required by law, no refunds are payable in relation to the Service Inclusive Package, including where the Package is not redeemed within the Validity Period or where the Customer is unable to redeem the Package for the Motorcycle for any reason, including but not limited to where the Motorcycle is damaged beyond repair or the Customer chooses not to service the Motorcycle at a BMW Motorrad Services Authorised Workshop. 

5.3 These terms and conditions may be amended by BMW from time to time. Amendments will be published on the BMW website www.bmw.com.au and will take effect immediately on publication.
