No other surface is as closely linked to the custom cruiser scene as chrome is. The new Premium Style “Blacked Out” offers you an attractive, dark chrome finish for your bike, thereby giving it a more dynamic characteristic look. The black highlights will meet even the highest standards for individuality and modernity. The style includes many different components in dark chrome – from the exhaust system, to push rod pipes, right up to the trim panel components with this classy finish.
Its classic design language, combined with modern equipment and optimised ergonomics, makes the R 18 Classic a timeless cruiser. The stylish highlights include the front-wheel mudguard, which powerfully emphasises the classic design lines, and the aesthetic single seat bench that wins riders over with its incredible seat comfort. With these and other highlights, every mile is an experience in itself.
Make cruising into an experience: The special form of this single seat bench in a “Dragster Design” with elongated pelvic support at the rear combines a modern aesthetic with a high level of comfort.
BMW is committed to the iconic boxer – out of conviction. With a displacement of 1,802 cc, the two-cylinder boxer engine of the R 18 Classic is the biggest boxer we've ever built. It delivers its maximum torque of 163 Nm at 3,000 rpm. At 4,750 rpm, the “Big Boxer” delivers 67 kW (91 hp).
