With the riding modes Pro, you can tune the M Sport to suit your driving style in a targeted way. In the Race Pro mode, you can customise the configuration of the engine characteristics, Dynamic Traction Control and Anti block system. Three additional Sport screens provide information about traction control, brake force, lean angle, lap times and more on the 6.5-inch TFT display, which is included as standard. This means that you can not only keep an eye on what your bike is doing, you can also see the data you need to keep fine-tuning your technique and your setup.

Drive off and stop without the need to operate the clutch lever. The Easy Ride Clutch, as part of the M Sport ERC variant, uses centrifugal force to take over the job of operating the clutch. In overrun mode, the clutch remains closed. This means that you can still rely on the engine braking effect you’re accustomed to. In conjunction with shift assistant Pro, there’s no need to use the clutch at all. This supports a dynamic driving style. Nevertheless, you stay in control at all times. You can use the clutch lever to intervene manually and take direct control of the motorcycle.

More than just a pretty face: together with the striking split-face front and the iconic daytime riding lights, the winglets further refine the BMW F 450 RR’s supersport aesthetic. The full trim panel, the slim, teardrop-shaped tank and the short rear carry this clear line forward. This means it’s immediately recognisable as a member of the RR family, adapted for the 450 class and designed to be your entryway into the world of RR.

Shift assistant Pro allows for gear changes with virtually no interruption in traction force, and helps you keep a good rhythm when accelerating. It lets you change gears without having to operate the clutch. For an even sportier setup, the gearshift diagram can be reversed with minimal effort.

Precision starts with the right setup. The gold-coloured 43-mm upside-down fork guides the front wheel with 140 mm of spring travel. In the Sport and M Sport ERC variants, you can adapt the rebound and compression stages to suit your own individual driving style. This means you can take an even more personalised setup to the streets, from everyday rides to ambitious adventures.

Adapt the brake and clutch levers to suit your grip width perfectly, allowing you to access both levers safely, and ensuring that you still have a good feel for your bike when braking, engaging the clutch or changing gears. The heated grips, which are included as standard, can be controlled using the multicontroller, and you can choose from three different heating levels. In colder weather, this keeps your hands nice and warm, without restricting your movement – for a precise grip and enhanced comfort on every ride.

Ready when you are. The newly developed two-cylinder in-line engine is torque-oriented and responds spontaneously to your throttle commands. 80 percent of the available torque can be utilised from as little as 3,000 rpm.  Its 420 cm³ and 48 hp bring overrun mode straight to the streets. This results in performance characteristics you can control, bringing you further, ride after ride.

The compact underbelly muffler sits beneath the engine, keeping the short supersport silhouette of the BMW F 450 RR clean and clear. Compared with a conventional rear silencer, the design results in a weight saving of around 2 kg, reducing the bike’s total weight. At the same time, you can still hear the characteristic rhythm of the two-cylinder engine. A detail that combines design, lightweight construction and typical RR character.
